Gondola Resorts and Powderhound Transportation Ink Partnership Deal

Deal expands transportation services from Denver International Airport to Colorado mountain resorts and communities.

Gondola Resorts, one of the fastest growing vacation rental companies in
Colorado, announced today a partnership with Powderhound transportation. Powderhound offers shuttle service and privately chauffeured four-wheel drive SUV’s from Denver International Airport to mountain destinations serviced by Gondola Resorts including Aspen, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone, Silverthorne and Steamboat Springs.

The deal comes on the heels of the recent announcement of new service offered
by Gondola Resorts with Limos.com and Colorado Mountain Express.

partner. With the continued expansion of our Colorado vacation rental business, our customers have another choice for quick and easy transfers from Denver International Airport to their mountain destination,“ says Gondola Resorts CEO Gino Malara. “With DIA being the fifth-busiest airport in the world and still growing, it’s imperative that we organize transportation strategies for the future. Powerhound will certainly help us meet our goals,” Malara said.

Denver International Airport, often referred to as DIA, is the largest international airport in the United States. It is also the third largest international airport in the world after King Fahd International Airport and Montréal-Mirabel International Airport, according to Coventry Airport News.

To book shuttle service using Powderhound transportation, Gondola Resorts has

Gondola Resorts and Colorado Mountain Express Announce Partnership

CME offers shuttle service and privately chauffeured four-wheel drive SUV’s to destinations including Aspen, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone resorts.  CME’s diverse transportation services will enable guests of Gondola Resorts to add quick and easy transfers from not only Colorado airports, but from downtown Denver.

Gondola Resorts sources revealed that between 60 to 80% of inbound travelers are unaware of transport options to reach Colorado ski resorts until they arrive at Denver International Airport. With this new partnership, CME will have access to more than 1,000 new sales channels through that one hub alone.

With Gondola Resorts expansion in 2011, the partnership further entrenches the company into Colorado business.  With the vacation rental company now operating at ten different resorts in three states, it may look to expand human resources in sales and management.  Its diverse portfolio of lodging solutions may also enable Gondola Resorts to expand its presence at other resorts serviced by CME including Vail and Beaver Creek.

Gondola Resorts Flexes Vacation Rental Muscles in Aspen

Denver, CO, OCTOBER 3, 2011 – Gondola Resorts announced today it has expanded operations into Aspen, Colorado.  The Denver, Colorado based company specializes in mountain ski resort vacation rentals in Colorado, Utah and sun/beach resorts in Florida. 

This move complements the mountain lodging business and strengthens Gondola Resorts’ current resort business at the likes of Breckenridge, Keystone, Telluride and Park City. “Consumer demand for money saving lodging, even in the most sought-after resort destinations, has skyrocketed”, according to Gondola Resorts CEO Gino Malara.  “It’s been a busy summer for our company as we’ve added several new resort destinations to our portfolio, and we’re excited to add yet another with Aspen,” said Malara.

The fully-integrated resort vacation rental business introduces accommodations at Independence Square, The Gant, Silverglo and Chateau Eau Claire to name a few.  In addition, Gondola Resorts also offers accommodations at the luxurious St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt Grand Aspen Residence Clubs.  “Adding elegance to the mix of offerings widens our demographics”, Malara exclaims.

While most real estate markets across the U.S. continues to struggle with feeble sales demand (and at many other luxury ski resorts) — Aspen has crafted its own orbit with both real estate value gains, while keeping rental prices down. The average home price grew over the past four years to $7 million according to the current MLS listing data. The median price for single-family homes is now the highest in the country at $4.7 million, according to Altos Research, surpassing The Hamptons, Beverly Hills and Palm Beach.  The average rental rates published by Gondola Resorts, which includes vacation homes from 2-4 bedrooms, amounts to $288 per night.

Malara stated that their goal with Aspen is to widen the vacation rental appeal. He claimed that the most exquisite mountain ski location in the world is not in Whistler, Vail, Mont Blanc, Cortina or Kitzbuhel, but is in Aspen Colorado. He assures that Gondola Resorts will bring premium service and accommodation to the hospitality industry.

Malara also told reporters that new resort destinations may include offerings in Idaho, California and Canada starting next year. In addition, he mentioned the possibility of expansion into Europe in spring of 2013.
